Sec. 135. (a) Section 11–1563(d), D.C. Code is amended— (A) by inserting “or while receiving retirement salary under this subchapter but before having recouped all contributions,” before “the lump-sum credit for retirement”; and (B) by inserting “or the balance after deduction of retirement salary paid prior to death, if applicable,” before “shall be paid,”, (b) The Mayor, within 30 days after the enactment of this Act, shall engage an enrolled actuary, to be paid by the District of Columbia Retirement Board, and shall comply fully with the requirements of section 142(d) and section 144(d) of the District of Columbia Retirement Reform Act of 1979 (Public Law 96–122, D.C. Code, secs. 1–722(d) and 1–724(d)).
