TRANSITION RULE.

SEC. 5517. TRANSITION RULE. Section 116 of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (Public Law 104–193; 110 Stat. 2181) is amended— (1) in subsection (a)(2), by inserting “(but subject to subsection (b)(1)(A)(ii))” after “this section”; and (2) in subsection (b)(1)(A)(ii), by striking “June 30, 1997” and inserting “the later of June 30, 1997, or the day before the date described in subsection (a)(2)(B) of this section”.
