EFFECTIVE DATE.

SEC. 5557. EFFECTIVE DATE. (a) In General.—Except as provided in subsection (b), the amendments made by this chapter shall take effect as if included in the enactment of title III of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (Public Law 104–193; 110 Stat. 2105). (b) Exception.—The amendments made by section 5532(b)(2) of this Act shall take effect as if the amendments had been included 111 STAT. 638in the enactment of section 103(a) of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (Public Law 104–193; 110 Stat. 2112).
