SEC. 204. MEDICAL EVIDENCE FOR FLIGHT TRAINING REQUIREMENTS. (a) Title 38, United States Code.— Sections 3034(d)(2) and 3241(b)(2) are each amended— (1) by striking “pilot’s license” each place it appears and inserting “pilot certificate”; and (2) by inserting “, on the day the individual begins a course of flight training,” after “meets”. (b) Title 10, United States Code.— Section 16136(c)(2) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by striking “pilot’s license” each place it appears and inserting “pilot certificate”; and (2) by inserting “, on the day the individual begins a course of flight training,” after “meets”. (c) Effective Date.— The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to courses of flight training beginning on or after October 1, 1998.
