SEC. 301. STATE OFFICES OF RURAL HEALTH. Section 338J of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 254r) is amended— (1) in subsection (b)(1), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking “in cash”; and (2) in subsection (j)( 1)— (A) by striking “and” after “1992,”; and (B) by inserting before the period the following: “, and such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1998 through 2002”; and (3) in subsection (k), by striking “$10,000,000” and inserting “$36,000,000”.
