REFURBISHMENT OF M1–A1 TANKS.

SEC. 306. REFURBISHMENT OF M1–A1 TANKS. Of the amount authorized to be appropriated pursuant to section 301(1) for operation and maintenance for the Anny, $35,000,000 shall be available only for refurbishment of M1–A1 tanks under the AIM–XXI program if the Secretary of Defense determines that the cost effectiveness of the pilot AIM–XXI program is validated through user trials conducted at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California.
