SEC. 906. TERMINATION OF THE ARMED SERVICES PATENT ADVISORY BOARD. (a) Termination of Board.—The organization within the Department of Defense known as the Armed Services Patent Advisory Board is terminated. No funds available for the Department of Defense may be used for the operation of that Board after the effective date specified in subsection (c). (b) Transfer of Functions.—All functions performed on the day before the date of the enactment of this Act by the Armed Services Patent Advisory Board (including performance of the responsibilities of the Department of Defense for security review of patent applications under chapter 17 of title 35, United States Code) shall be transferred to the Defense Technology Security Administration. (c) Effective Date.—Subsection (a) shall take effect at the end of the 120-day period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act.
