SEC. 833. UNIT COST REPORTS. (a) Immediate Report Required Only for Previously Unreported Increased Costs.—Subsection (c) of section 2433 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking out “during the current fiscal year (other than the last quarterly unit cost report 111 STAT. 1843under subsection (b) for the preceding fiscal year)” in the matter following paragraph (3). (b) Immediate Report Not Required for Cost Variances or Schedule Variances of Major Contracts.—Subsection (c) of such section is further amended— (1) by inserting “or” at the end of paragraph (1); (2) by striking out “or” at the end of paragraph (2); and (3) by striking out paragraph (3). (c) Congressional Notification of Increased Cost Not Conditioned on Discovery Since Beginning of Fiscal Year.—Subsection (d)(3) of such section is amended by striking out “(for the first time since the beginning of the current fiscal year)” in the first sentence.
