SEC. 749. STUDY OF EXPANSION OF PHARMACEUTICALS BY MAIL PROGRAM TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL MEDICARE-ELIGIBLE COVERED BENEFICIARIES. Not later than six months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report regarding the feasibility and advisability of expanding the category of persons eligible to participate in the demonstration project for the purchase of prescription pharmaceuticals by mail, as required by section 702(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1993 (Public Law 102–484; 10 U.S.C. 1079 note), to include persons referred to in subsection (c) of section 1086 of title 10, United States Code, who are covered by subsection (d)(1) of such section and reside in the United States outside of the catchment area of a medical treatment facility of the uniformed services.
