SEC. 575. ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF PERIOD FOR RECEIPT OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DECORATIONS AND AWARDS FOR CERTAIN MILITARY INTELLIGENCE PERSONNEL. Section 523(b)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1996 (Public Law 104–106; 110 Stat. 311; 10 U.S.C. 1130 note) is amended by striking out “during the one-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act” and inserting in lieu thereof “during the period beginning on February 10, 1996, and ending on February 9, 1998”.
