SEC. 2803. LEASING OF MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING, UNITED STATES SOUTHERN COMMAND, MIAMI, FLORIDA. (a) Leases To Exceed Maximum Rental.—Section 2828(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (2), by striking out “paragraph (3)” and inserting in lieu thereof “paragraphs (3) and (4)”; (2) by redesignating paragraph (4) as paragraph (5); and (3) by inserting after paragraph (3) the following new paragraph: “(4) The Secretary of the Army may lease not more than eight housing units in the vicinity of Miami, Florida, for key and essential personnel, as designated by the Secretary, for the United States Southern Command for which the expenditure for the rental of such units (including the cost of utilities, maintenance, and operation, including security enhancements) exceeds the expenditure limitations in paragraphs (2) and (3). The total amount for all leases under this paragraph may not exceed $280,000 per year, and no lease on any individual housing unit may exceed $60,000 per year.”. (b) Conforming Amendment.—Paragraph (5) of such section, as redesignated by subsection (a)(2), is amended by striking out “paragraphs (2) and (3)” and inserting in lieu thereof “paragraphs (2), (3), and (4)”.
