REPORT ON EFFORTS TO MEASURE READINESS

SEC. 317. REPORT ON EFFORTS TO MEASURE READINESS (a) Report Requirement.—The Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the status of Department of Defense efforts to— 101 STAT. 1076 (1) identify and measure readiness of the Department of Defense; and (2) relate such identification and measurement to the budget process, (b) Deadline.—The report required by subsection (a) shall be submitted no later than February 1, 1988.
