SEC. 417. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR PARTS A AND B. Section 2677 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 300ff–77) is amended to read as follows: “SEC. 2677. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. “(a) Part A.—For the purpose of carrying out part A, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 2001 through 2005. “(b) Part B.—For the purpose of carrying out part B, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 2001 through 2005.”.
