SEC. 518. STUDY OF TESTING PROCEDURES. (a) Study.—The Administrator shall study the testing procedures for analysis of pollutants established under section 304(h) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. Such study shall include, but not be limited to, an analysis of the adequacy and standardization of such procedures. In conducting the analysis of the standardization of such procedures, the Administrator shall consider the extent to which such procedures are consistent with comparable procedures established under other Federal laws. (b) Report.—Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator shall submit a report on the results of the study conducted under this subsection, together with recommendations for modifying the test procedures referred to in subsection (a) to improve their effectiveness, to the Committee on Public Works and Transportation of the House of Representatives 101 STAT. 87and the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate.
