AUTHORIZATION FOR SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE TO PURCHASE AND TRANSFER LAND.

SEC. 308. AUTHORIZATION FOR SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE TO PURCHASE AND TRANSFER LAND. Subject to the availability of funds appropriated to the Agricultural Research Service, the Secretary of Agriculture may— (1) purchase a tract of land in the State of South Carolina that is contiguous to land owned on the date of the enactment of this Act by the Department of Agriculture, acting through the Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center of the Agricultural Research Service; and (2) transfer land owned by the Department of Agriculture to the Florence Darlington Technical College, South Carolina, in exchange for land owned by the College.
