SEC. 333. MERAMEC RIVER BASIN, VALLEY PARK LEVEE, MISSOURI. The project for flood control, Meramec River Basin, Valley Park Levee, Missouri, authorized by section 2(h) of the Act entitled “An Act to deauthorize several projects within the jurisdiction of the Army Corps of Engineers” (Public Law 97–128; 95 Stat. 1682) and modified by section 1128 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986 (100 Stat. 4246), is further modified to authorize the Secretary to construct the project at a maximum Federal expenditure of $35,000,000, if the Secretary determines that the project as modified is technically sound, environmentally acceptable, and economically justified.
