SEC. 409. CACHE CREEK BASIN, CALIFORNIA. (a) In General.—The Secretary shall conduct a study to determine the feasibility of modifying the project for flood control, Cache Creek Basin, California, authorized by section 401(a) of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986 (100 Stat. 4112), to authorize construction of features to mitigate impacts of the project on the storm drainage system of the city of Woodland, California, that have been caused by construction of a new south levee of the Cache Creek Settling Basin. (b) Required Elements.—The study shall include consideration of— (1) an outlet works through the Yolo Bypass capable of receiving up to 1,600 cubic feet per second of storm drainage from the city of Woodland and Yolo County; (2) a low-flow cross-channel across the Yolo Bypass, including all appurtenant features, that is sufficient to route storm flows of 1,600 cubic feet per second between the old 114 STAT. 2636and new south levees of the Cache Creek Settling Basin, across the Yolo Bypass, and into the Tule Canal; and (3) such other features as the Secretary determines to be appropriate.
