MAXIMUM PAYMENT STANDARD FOR ENHANCED VOUCHERS.

SEC. 903. MAXIMUM PAYMENT STANDARD FOR ENHANCED VOUCHERS. (a) In General.—Section 8(t)(1)(B) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437f(t)(1)B)), as amended by the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act, 2001, is amended by inserting before the semicolon at the end the following: “, except that a limit shall not be considered reasonable for purposes of this subparagraph if it adversely affects such assisted families”. (b) Effective Date.—The amendment under subsection (a) shall be made and shall apply— (1) upon the enactment of this Act, if the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development, and Independent Agencies Appropriations Act, 2001, is enacted before the enactment of this Act; and (2) immediately after the enactment of such appropriations Act, if such appropriations Act is enacted after the enactment of this Act.
