SEC. 312. REPLACEMENT OF NONSECURE TACTICAL RADIOS OF THE 82ND AIRBORNE DIVISION. Of the amount authorized to be appropriated by section 301(1) for operation and maintenance for the Army, such funds as may be necessary, but not to exceed $5,500,000, shall be available to the Secretary of the Army for the purpose of replacing nonsecure tactical radios used by the 82nd Airborne Division with radios, such as models AN/PRC–138 and AN/PRC–148, identified as being capable of fulfilling mission requirements.
