SEC. 242. TECHNOLOGY AREA REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT. Section 270(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1997 (Public Law 104–201; 110 Stat. 2469; 10 U.S.C. 2501 note) is amended to read as follows: “(b) Technology Area Review and Assessment.—With the submission of the plan under subsection (a) each year, the Secretary shall also submit to the committees referred to in that subsection a summary of each technology area review and assessment conducted by the Department of Defense in support of that plan.”.
