SEC. 603. ADDITIONAL AMOUNT AVAILABLE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000 INCREASE IN BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR HOUSING INSIDE THE UNITED STATES. In addition to the amount determined by the Secretary of Defense under section 403(b)(3) of title 37, United States Code, to be the total amount that may be paid during fiscal year 2000 for the basic allowance for housing for military housing areas inside the United States, $225,000,000 of the amount authorized to be appropriated by section 421 for military personnel shall be used by the Secretary to further increase the total amount available for the basic allowance for housing for military housing areas inside the United States.
