ADVANCED TACTICAL FIGHTER AIRCRAFT

SEC. 212. ADVANCED TACTICAL FIGHTER AIRCRAFT None of the funds appropriated for fiscal year 1988 or otherwise made available may be obligated for development of the Advanced Tactical Fighter aircraft program until— (1) The Secretary of the Navy certifies to the Secretary of Defense that the prototype aircraft designs are capable of accepting all physical and structural modifications necessary to satisfy fully the requirements of the Navy concerning carrier catapults and arresting gear. 101 STAT. 1050 (2) The Secretary of Defense transmits to the Committees on Armed Services and Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives a copy of the certification under paragraph (1) and certifies that a major source selection criteria for full scale development and production will be the extent to which the contractor's proposals for the Navy-variant of the advanced tactical fighter meets fully the requirements of the Navy.
