UPPER KLAMATH RIVER STUDY.
SEC. 104. UPPER KLAMATH RIVER STUDY. Section 5(d) of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (Public Law 90–542, 82 Stat. 910) is amended by inserting “(1)” after “(d)” and by inserting the following new paragraph at the end thereof: “(2) The Congress finds that the Secretary of the Interior, in preparing the Nationwide Rivers Inventory as a specific study for possible additions to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, identified the Upper Klamath River from below the John Boyle Dam to the Oregon-California State line. The Secretary, acting through the Bureau of Land Management, is authorized under this subsection to complete a study of the eligibility and suitability of such segment for potential addition to the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Such study shall be completed, and a report containing the results of the study shall be submitted to Congress by April 1, 1990. Nothing in this paragraph shall affect the authority or responsibilities of 102 STAT. 2791any other Federal agency with respect to activities or actions on this segment and its immediate environment.”.
