CONVENTIONAL DEFENSE INITIATIVE

SEC. 214. CONVENTIONAL DEFENSE INITIATIVE (a) In General.—In this Act, Congress continues the program of Conventional Defense Initiatives begun in the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987 (Public Law 99–661) for the purposes stated in section 221 of that Act (100 Stat. 3845). (b) Army.—Of the funds appropriated pursuant to section 201 for the Army for fiscal year 1988, $48,100,000 shall be available only for the Conventional Defense Initiative. (c) Navy.—Of the funds appropriated pursuant to section 201 for the Navy for fiscal year 1988, $51,100,000 ($46,100,000) shall be available only for the Conventional Defense Initiative. (d) Air Force.—Of the funds appropriated pursuant to section 201 for the Air Force for fiscal year 1988, $9,600,000 shall be available only for the Conventional Defense Initiative.
