SEC. 606. UNIFORM ALLOWANCE FOR OFFICERS. (a) Relation to Initial Uniform Allowance.—Section 416(b)(1) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking “$200” and inserting “$400”. (b) Effective Date.—The amendment made by this section shall take effect as of October 1, 2000.
