SEC. 540. HOUSING ALLOWANCE FOR THE CHAPLAIN FOR THE CORPS OF CADETS AT THE UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY. (a) Authority.—The second sentence of section 4337 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking “the same allowances” and all that follows through “captain” and inserting “a monthly housing allowance in the same amount as the basic allowance for housing allowed to a lieutenant colonel”. (b) Effective Date.—The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the first day of the first month beginning on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.
