SEC. 2870. REPORT ON FUTURE LAND NEEDS OF UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY, NEW YORK, AND ADJACENT COMMUNITY. (a) Report Required.—Not later than February 1, 2002, the Secretary of the Army shall submit to Congress a report evaluating the future needs of the United States Military Academy for lands suitable for use for military training and the feasibility of making unneeded lands available to the Village of Highland Falls, New York, through fee simple conveyance, long-term lease under section 2667 of title 10, United States Code, or other means. (b) Consultation.—The Secretary shall prepare the report in consultation with appropriate officials of the Village of Highland Falls.
