REALLOCATION AND EXTENSION OF FUNDS.
SEC. 202. REALLOCATION AND EXTENSION OF FUNDS. (a) Reallocation of Unused Funds.—Section 477(d) (42 U.S.C. 677(d)) is amended by adding at the end the following: “(4) Reallocation of unused funds.—If a State does not apply for funds under this section for a fiscal year within such time as may be provided by the Secretary, the funds to which the State would be entitled for the fiscal year shall be reallocated to 1 or more other States on the basis of their relative need for additional payments under this section, as determined by the Secretary.”. (b) Temporary Extension of Availability of Independent Living Funds.—Notwithstanding section 477(d)(3) of the Social Security Act, payments made to a State under section 477 of such Act for fiscal year 2000 shall remain available for expenditure by the State through fiscal year 2002.
