SEC. 142. DUTIES OF COMMISSION. (a) Assessment.—The Commission shall— (1) consider legislative and organizational policy changes to enhance the recruitment and retention of nurses and other nursing personnel by the Department of Veterans Affairs; and (2) assess the future of the nursing profession within the Department. (b) Recommendations.—The Commission shall recommend legislative and organizational policy changes to enhance the recruitment and retention of nurses and other nursing personnel in the Department.
