HEMTT TRUCK PROGRAM

SEC. 129. HEMTT TRUCK PROGRAM (a) Program Authorization.—Beginning in fiscal year 1988, the Secretary of the Army shall procure not less than 4,737 trucks under the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) program. Such procurement shall be carried out using multiyear contracts in accordance with section 2306(h) of title 10, United States Code. (b) Funding.—Of amounts appropriated for each of fiscal years 1988 and 1989 for other procurement for the Army for tactical vehicles, $239,300,000 shall be available only for procurement under subsection (a).
