SEC. 10801. COTTON CLASSIFICATION SERVICES. (a) Extension of Authority to Provide Services.—The first sentence of section 3a of the Act of March 3, 1927 (commonly known as the “Cotton Statistics and Estimates Act”; 7 U.S.C. 473a), is amended by striking “2002” and inserting “2007”. (b) Repeal of Obsolete Effective Date Provisions.— (1) 1984 amendment.—The first section of Public Law 98403 (98 Stat. 1479) is amended by striking “, effective for the period beginning October 1, 1984, and ending September 30, 1988,”. (2) 1987 amendments.—Section 2 of the Uniform Cotton Classing Fees Act of 1987 (Public Law 100-108; 101 Stat. 728) is amended by striking “Effective for the period beginning on the date of enactment of this Act and ending September 30, 1992, section” and inserting “Section”. (3) 1991 AMENDMENTS.—Section 120 of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act Amendments of 1991 (Public Law 102-237; 105 Stat. 1842) is amended by striking subsection (e).
