SEC. 405. REPORTS TO CONGRESS ON UNITED NATIONS ACTIVITIES. (a) Amendments to United Nations Participation Act.—Section 4 of the United Nations Participation Act (22 U.S.C. 287b) is amended— (1) by striking subsections (b) and (c); (2) by inserting after subsection (a) the following new subsection: “(b) Annual Report on Financial Contributions.— Not later than July 1 of each year, the Secretary of State shall submit a report to the designated congressional committees on the extent and disposition of all financial contributions made by the United States during the preceding year to international organizations in which the United States participates as a member.”; 116 STAT. 1391 (3) in subsection (e)(5) by striking subparagraph (B) and inserting the following: “(B) Annual report.— The President shall submit an annual report to the designated congressional committees on all assistance provided by the United States during the preceding calendar year to the United Nations to support peacekeeping operations. Each such report shall describe the assistance provided for each such operation, listed by category of assistance.”; and (4) by redesignating subsections (d), (e), (f), and (g) as subsections (c), (d), (e), and (f), respectively. (b) Conforming Amendments.— (1) Section 2 of Public Law 81-806 (22 U.S.C. 262a) is amended by striking the last sentence. (2) Section 409 of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1994 and 1995 (22 U.S.C. 287e note), is amended by striking subsection (d).
