SEC. 685. PARTICIPATION OF SOUTH ASIAN COUNTRIES IN INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. The Secretary shall ensure, where practicable, that appropriate government officials from countries in the South Asia region shall be eligible to attend courses at the International Law Enforcement Academy located in Bangkok, Thailand, and Budapest, Hungary, consistent with other provisions of law, with the goal of enhancing regional cooperation in the fight against transnational crime.
