SEC. 302. GRANTS FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FOR CHILDREN. (a) Duration of Grant.—Section 1910(a) of the Public Health Service Act (42 US.C. 300w-9(a)) is amended in the second sentence by striking “shall be for” and all that follows and inserting the following: “shall be for not more than a two-year period, subject to annual evaluation by the Secretary.”. (b) Authorization of Appropriations.—Section 1910(d) of the Public Health Service Act (42 US.C. 300w 9(d)) is amended by inserting before the period the following: “, $3,000,000 for fiscal year 1989, $4,000,000 for fiscal year 1990, and $5,000,000 for fiscal year 1991”.
