DEFINITIONS.

SEC. 623. DEFINITIONS. (a) School of Allied Health.—Section 701(10) (42 U.S.C. 292a(10)) is amended— 102 STAT. 3143 (1) in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking “university—” and inserting “university or hospital-based educational entity—”; and (2) in subparagraph (B), by inserting before the semicolon the following: “(except that this subparagraph shall not apply to any hospital-based educational entity)” (b) Allied Health Professionals.—Section 701(13)(1) (42 U.S.C. 292a(13)(C)) is amended— (1) by striking out “an individual” and inserting in lieu thereof “a health professional”; (2) by striking out “or” before “a doctoral degree in clinical psychology”; and (3) by inserting before the period the following: “, or a degree in social work or an equivalent degree”.
