SEC. 514. USE OF RESERVES TO PERFORM DUTIES RELATING TO DEFENSE AGAINST TERRORISM. (a) Use of Reserves to Perform Duties Relating to Defense Against Terrorism.—Section 12304(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking “involving– and all that follows and inserting “involving— “(1) a use or threatened use of a weapon of mass destruction; or “(2) a terrorist attack or threatened terrorist attack in the United States that results, or could result, in catastrophic loss of life or property.“. (b) Conforming Amendment Relating to Full-Time Support of Guard and Reserve Personnel.—Section 12310(c)(1) of such title is amended by striking “involving” and all that follows and inserting “involving— “(A) the use of a weapon of mass destruction (as defined in section 12304(i)(2) of this title); or “(B) a terrorist attack or threatened terrorist attack in the United States that results, or could result, in catastrophic loss of life or property.“.
