SEC. 554. EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY EARLY RETIREMENT AUTHORITY. Effective January 1, 2002, section 4403(i) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1993 (10 U.S.C. 1293 note) is amended by striking “December 31, 2001” and inserting “September 1, 2002”.
