SEC. 307. FEE FOR LOAN ASSUMPTION. (a) In General.—For the period described in subsection (b), the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall apply section 3729(b)(2)(I) of title 38, United States Code, by substituting “1.00” for “0.50” each place it appears. (b) Period Described.—The period referred to in subsection (a) is the period that begins on the date that is 7 days after the date of the enactment of this Act and ends on September 30, 2003.
