SEC. 824. PROCUREMENT OF MANUAL TYPEWRITERS FROM WARSAW PACT COUNTRIES (a) Most-Favored-Nation Countries.—Section 2400 of title 10, United States Code, as amended by section 124, is amended by adding at the end the following: “(c) Manual Typewriters From Warsaw Pact Countries.—Funds appropriated to or for the use of the Department of Defense may not be used for the procurement of manual typewriters which contain one or more components manufactured in a country which is a member of the Warsaw Pact unless the products of that country are accorded nondiscriminatory treatment (most-favored-nation treatment).” (b) Conforming Repeal.—Section 1262 of the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1984 (Public Law 98–94; 97 Stat. 703), is repealed.
