SEC. 132. GENERAL AVIATION AND AIR CHARTERS. (a) Air Charter Program.—Within 90 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Under Secretary of Transportation 115 STAT. 636 for Transportation Security shall implement an aviation security program for charter air carriers (as defined in section 40102(a)(13) of title 49, United States Code) with a maximum certificated takeoff weight of 12,500 pounds or more. (b) General Aviation Program.—Within 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Under Secretary of Transportation for Transportation Security shall transmit a report on airspace and other security measures that can be deployed, as necessary, to improve general aviation security to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. The Under Secretary may submit the report in both classified and redacted forms.
