SEC. 105. RESEARCH IN THE EDUCATION OF HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS. (a) In General.— The part heading for part E of the Education of the Handicapped Act (20 U.S.C. 1441 et seq.) is amended to read as follows: “Part E— Research in the Education of Handicapped Individuals”. (b) Research and Demonstration Projects in Education of Handicapped Children.— Section 641 of the Education of the Handicapped Act (20 U.S.C. 1441) is amended— (1) in subsection (a), by striking “children and youth” each place it appears and inserting “children, and youth”; (2) in subsection (a)(6), by inserting a comma after “scales”; and (3) in subsection (e)— (A) by striking “National Institute of Handicapped Research” and inserting “National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research”; and (B) by striking “National Council on the Handicapped” and inserting “National Council on Disability”. (c) Panels of Experts.— Section 643(a)(1) of the Education of the Handicapped Act (20 U.S.C. 1443(a)(D) is amended by striking “the handicapped” and inserting “handicapped individuals”.
