SEC. 577. SENSE OF CONGRESS. It is the sense of Congress that—(1) the Secretary of Defense should develop a Department of Defense strategic plan for domestic violence that incorporates the core principles of domestic violence intervention identified by the Defense Task Force on Domestic Violence in its third annual report under section 591(e) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2000 (Public Law 106–65; 10 U.S.C. 1562 note); and(2) the Secretary of each military department should establish and support a Victim Advocate Protocol as recommended by the Defense Task Force on Domestic Violence.117 STAT. 1489
