SEC. 1018. LIMITATION ON DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE NAVAL VESSEL. The Secretary of the Navy may not dispose of the decommissioned destroyer ex-Forrest Sherman (DD–931) before October 1, 2004, to an entity that is not a nonprofit organization unless the Secretary first determines that there is no nonprofit organization that meets the criteria for donation of that vessel under section 7306(a)(3) of title 10, United States Code.
