632. LAW APPLICABLE TO OCCUPANCY BY COAST GUARD PERSONNEL OF SUBSTANDARD FAMILY HOUSING UNITS (a) In General.—Section 2830 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by striking out “the Secretary of a military department” in subsection (a) and inserting in lieu thereof “the Secretary concerned”; (2) by striking out “Subject to” in subsection (b) and all that follows through “military department” and inserting in lieu thereof “(1) The Secretary concerned”; and (3) by adding at the end of subsection (b) the following new paragraph: “(2) The authority to enter into leases under paragraph (1) shall be exercised— “(A) in the case of a lease by the Secretary of a military department, subject to regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Defense; and “(B) in the case of a lease by the Secretary of Transportation with respect to the Coast Guard when it is not operating as a service in the Navy, subject to regulations prescribed by that Secretary.” (b) Conforming Amendments.—(1) Section 2801(d) of such title is amended by inserting “(other than section 2830)” after “This chapter”. (2) Section 475 of title 14, United States Code, is amended— (A) by striking out subsection (b); and (B) by redesignating subsections (c) and (d) as subsections (b) and (c), respectively.
