SEC. 107. RUNAWAY, HOMELESS, AND MIGRANT YOUTH. (a) Categorical Eligibility for Free Lunches and Breakfasts.—Section 9(b)(12)(A) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (as redesignated by section 104(a)(1) of this Act) is amended—(1) in clause (ii), by striking “or” at the end; (2) in clause (iii), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3) by adding at the end the following: “(iv) a homeless child or youth (defined as 1 of the individuals described in section 725(2) of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11434a(2)); “(v) served by the runaway and homeless youth grant program established under the Runaway and Homeless Youth Act (42 U.S.C. 5701 et seq.); or“(vi) a migratory child (as defined in section 1309 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 6399)).”. (b) Documentation.—Section 9(d)(2) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1758(d)(2)) is amended—118 STAT. 746(1) in subparagraph (B), by striking “or”;(2) in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and(3) by inserting after subparagraph (C) the following:“(D) documentation has been provided to the appropriate local educational agency showing that the child meets the criteria specified in clauses (iv) or (v) of subsection (b)(12)(A); or“(E) documentation has been provided to the appropriate local educational agency showing the status of the child as a migratory child (as defined in section 1309 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 6399)).”.
