SAVINGS CLAUSE.

SEC. 604. SAVINGS CLAUSE.(a) In General.—Title VI of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3171 et seq.) (as amended by section 603(a)) is amended by adding at the end the following:“SEC. 612. SAVINGS CLAUSE. “To the extent that any portion of grants made under this Act are used for an economic development project that involves remediation, the remediation shall be conducted in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and standards.” .(b) Conforming Amendment.—The table of contents contained in section 1(b) of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3121 note) is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 611 (as added by section 603(b)) the following: “Sec. 612.
