SEC. 233. COMPTROLLER GENERAL ASSESSMENTS OF BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE PROGRAMS. Section 232(g) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2002 (10 U.S.C. 2431 note) is amended to read as follows:“(g) Comptroller General Assessment.—(1) At the conclusion of each of fiscal years 2002 through 2006, the Comptroller 118 STAT. 1837 General of the United States shall carry out an assessment of the extent to which the Missile Defense Agency achieved the goals established under subsection (c) for that fiscal year for each ballistic missile defense program of the Department of Defense.“(2) Not later than February 15 of each of 2003 through 2007, the Comptroller General shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the Comptroller General’s assessment under paragraph (1) with respect to the preceding fiscal year.”.
