SEC. 142. ALLOCATION OF EQUIPMENT AUTHORIZED BY THIS TITLE TO UNITS DEPLOYED, OR TO BE DEPLOYED, TO OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM OR OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. In allocating equipment acquired using funds authorized to be appropriated by this title to operational units deployed, or scheduled to be deployed, to Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom, the Secretary of Defense shall ensure that the allocation is made without regard to the status of the units as active, Guard, or reserve component units.
