SEC. 533. JOINT REQUIREMENTS FOR PROMOTION TO FLAG OR GENERAL OFFICER GRADE.(a) Effective Date for Joint Specialty Officer Requirement.—Subsection (a)(2) of section 619a of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking “September 30, 2007” and inserting “September 30, 2008”.(b) Exception to Joint Duty Requirement for Officers Serving in Joint Duty Assignment When Considered for Promotion.—Subsection (b)(4) of such section is amended by striking “if—” and all that follows through “(B) the officer’s” and inserting “if the officer’s”.
