SECTION 1. EXTENSION OF GOVERNING INTERNATIONAL FISHERY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND SOUTH KOREA. Notwithstanding any provision of the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and Management Act (16 U.S.C. 1801 et seq.), the governing international fishery agreement entered into between the Government of the United States and the Government of the Republic of Korea on July 26, 1982, shall remain in force and effect with respect to the United States until the closing date of the sixty-day period referred to in section 203(a) of such Act that applies with respect to any new governing international fishery agreement between the United States and the Republic of Korea that is transmitted to the Congress under section 203(a) after May 1, 1987, or November 1, 1987, whichever is earlier.
